The Strategy of Content Marketing

Content Marketing is the strategic creation of text, imagery, audio or video that delivers a relevant and interesting message to a customer or a prospect while at the same time paving the way for the sale. Content Marketing has to do something for that audience. It has to move them in some way and its starts with having to earn attention. You need, as a professional content marketer, to be really aware of a pretty widespread corporate and business attitude of entitlement. A lot of companies out there just have a very hard time remembering that they’re not entitled anybody’s attention just because they have a project, just because they have a service, just because they have an advertising budget. Every topic is interesting to the audience that is relevant for the content. But you have use to some skills as a writer. So, as the content marketer, as the writer, as the scribe, you need to interest yourself. You need to be part of everything.

What should Content Do?

I discussed three elements that your content needs to have or be able to do. 

1-  Move your audience

2- earn your audience attention

3- it has to have a spark. 

The other side to all this spark and passion is that good effective content marketing does usually rely on some proven structures, having spark doesn’t mean that you win. There are structures that have been shown to work better because they make your ideas easier to perceive, easier to understand and easier for audience to share.
